Women in Training, Inc. was started in 2019 by twins, Brooke and Breanna Bennett, on their 12th birthday.

To date:

  • WIT has donated more than 30,000 WITKITS of menstrual, dental and hygiene supplies to girls and women in need.

  • Breanna and Brooke inspired Alabama State Representative Rolanda Hollis to introduce HB 50, which unanimously passed into law in April 2022. The state law provides $400,000 annually to the Alabama Department of Education to provide menstrual supplies to girls and young women in Grades 5 to 12 throughout the state.

  • In December 2024, CNN Heroes named the twins CNN Heroes Young Wonders in recognition of WIT's work to end period poverty.
