WIT Board Elects Youth Ambassadors; They are Promoting 5K & International Day of the Girl Child on TV News

The Women in Training, Inc. Board of Directors unanimously elected WIT Monarch Kacie Caldwell and WIT Monarch Carrington Scott as Ambassadors for the 2026-2027 academic year. Their first assignments as Ambassadors is to serve as spokeswomen and emcees for the 7th Annual WIT 5K & International Day of the Girl Child Festival on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival amphitheatre in Blount Cultural Park.

WIT Ambassador Kacie Caldwell is a senior at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School. She has been a Monarch in the WIT Leadership Development Academy since eighth grade; Kacie is beginning her fifth year of leadership training and community service. She has consistently performed as Principal Dancer and Mentor to younger Monarchs in the Monarchs Talent Showcase at the annual WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch.
“I am elated to serve as a Women in Training, Inc. Ambassador for our upcoming 7th Annual WIT 5K and International Day of the Girl Child Festival!" WIT Ambassador Kacie Caldwell said. "WIT is an organization that constantly reminds me of how truly blessed I am. Knowing that so many girls lack access to essential menstrual products deeply saddens me, making it my personal responsibility to shine a light and act upon the issue of ending period poverty.”

Ambassador Kacie was featured in a promotional video about WIT that Standing in the Gap: The Splintering of American Healthcare produced.
WIT Ambassador Carrington Scott is a senior at Life Preparatory Academy. This is her second year in the WIT Leadership Development Academy. Carrington has distinguished herself by frequently donating menstrual, dental and hygiene supplies for the #WITKITS Campaign to help end period poverty.
"I am very fortunate to be an Ambassador for Women In Training Inc.," WIT Ambassador Carrington Scott said. "Being an ambassador for the 7th Annual WIT 5K and International Day of The Girl Child Festival is so rewarding and opens my eyes to many opportunities to share our mission to End Poverty. PERIOD! I am so grateful to be a part of this beautiful organization that allows me to represent it while helping others in the process."

Ambassador Carrington served as a young leader at Alabama State Representative Rolanda Hollis’ etiquette training by Protocol Officer Cheryl Walker-Robertson.
Both Ambassadors actively participate in fulfilling the Women in Training, Inc. mission to help end period poverty by packing and distributing WITKITS of menstrual, dental and hygiene supplies.
