Junior League of Montgomery Awards EmpowHerment Scholarship to Savannah Williams
Savannah Williams is an incredible young lady. Only in eighth grade, she is already a published author!
Junior League of Montgomery recently awarded Savannah with the EmpowHerment Scholarship at their annual Women’s Leadership Summit. Savannah wanted to honor her late “PawPaw,” Dedrick Bowden, and had the idea to give toiletries to the homeless and offer scholarships to high school seniors in his name. She loves the elderly and has given gifts to them for different holidays.
Savannah is looking to expand her service with programs to honor and serve veterans and widows and widowers. The Junior League scholarship will allow the official launch of her organization, Alpha Love 2 Life, with a Youth Summer Grief Relief Program for youth who are grieving the loss of a parent, grandparent or other guardian who passed away during the past year.
Savannah is the first girl to register as a youth ambassador for
Women In Training
. She is in the inaugural WIT Rites of Passage Circle and the WIT Leadership Development Circle.
