Women Empowering Girls
THIS is why Women In Training exists!
Dr. Stephanie McCorvey, WIT Board Member, delivered monthly replenishments of sanitary pads, toiletries and COVID-19 personal protective equipment to the residents of the TEARS Shelter for Runaway Girls in Tuskegee.
Teacher Spends Day of Service Delivering WITKITS & PPE Supplies
Ife Dixon, a Montgomery Alabama Public Schools teacher, loaded up her car with bags of sanitary pads, toiletries, hair products, masks, gloves, and bottles of WIT hand sanitizer on October 30, 2020. It was the school system’s Day of Service, and Ms. Dixon used the day to deliver monthly Women In Training replenishment supplies to girls at Aid to Inmate Mothers, Common Ground Montgomery, That's My Child, Brantwood Children's Home, The Salvation Army of Montgomery, and New Beginnings Educational Center.
High School Student Makes Masks
For Girls in Need
N.B. is a high school student in Miami. When she learned that Women In Training volunteers were making masks to share with underserved youth, NB decided to help. She sent us dozens of masks that we gave to girls at TEARS Shelter for Runaway Girls, Brantwood Children’s Home, and Aid to Inmate Mothers. Here she is, meticulously measuring and lining up the fabric before cutting it.
Thank you, NB, for being a compassionate soul!
