Women in Training Accepting Applications for
WIT Leadership Development Circle
We respectfully invite young ladies in private and public schools in the River Region to apply for membership in the Inaugural Women in Training Leadership Development Circle. In this program, a diverse group of women leaders facilitate seminars and experiential learning experiences for girls in middle and high school to cultivate their growth as empowered global leaders.
The program will run from March 2021 to February 2022. Interactive workshops and field trips to historic landmarks will be held with a small group of girls on the first Saturday of each month, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will provide each young woman with two healthy snacks and lunch each week.

WIT Rites-of-Passage Schedule

The Inaugural WIT Rites-of-Passage Circle for middle and high school girls-of-girl begins on Saturday, January 16, 2021. It is a collaboration between the Alabama Indigenous Coalition, Nature's Garden for Victory and Peace, and Women in Training. Due to safety concerns about the COVID-19 global pandemic, the program will begin virtually via the Zoom platform. Lunch will be delivered to the home of each participant.
Dr. Ashley Cochran of Christian Services for Children in Alabama will facilitate a morning workshop on Personal Development: Self Advocacy. In the afternoon, Dr. LaToya Clark, WIT Board President. Chairwoman and Medical Director, will facilitate a workshop on Our Bodies Ourselves: The Reproductive System.
The WIT Leadership Development Circle is open to middle and high school girls of all ethnic backgrounds in the River Region begins in February.
